A Confessing Congregation within the Uniting Church in Australia

The Uniting Church in Australia came into being on 22 June 1977 as a union of Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches. It stands in the reformed and evangelical tradition. It operates under a series of inter-related councils – Church Council, Presbytery, Synod and Assembly.

Ingham District Uniting Churches unreservedly confess Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.  God’s grace in forgiveness and change is available to all persons, whatever our area of brokenness.  In particular, we affirm that, in the area of human sexuality God still expects celibacy in  singleness and faithfulness in marriage.
